Starting from the academic year 2014-2015, BIT is offering postgraduate programs leading to the award of Master of Technology (M.Tech) degree in the following engineering branches.

M.Tech is a 2-year, 4-semester course with the last semester being reserved for project work.
The Polytechnic diploma program at BIT commenced in the year 2014. This program is essentially a job oriented skill training program and runs for 3 years. After the completion of 3 years of Polytechnic diploma program, one can either go for a job or enter the B.E undergraduate course through lateral entry. Students entering the B.E undergraduate program will gain entry into the II year after their Polytechnic course.

BIT started PhD programs in Mechanical Engineering from the academic year 2013 onwards. Currently, two research scholars are working towards their doctoral degree in this department. PhD programs commenced in the Department of Physics of BIT from the academic year 2014.
