Bearys Institute of Technology (BIT) organized the 7th graduation day on 15th June, 2019, for 2015 batch students. The program was held at Mangala Auditorium, Mangalore University, Konaje, Mangalore. The dignitaries on the Dias: Mr. Syed Mohamed Beary, Chairman, Bearys Academy of Learning. Chief Guest; Dr. P. Subramamnya Yedapathya, Vice-Chancellor, Mangalore University, Mangalore. Guest of honors; Dr.B.N. Raghunandan, Advisor to Director, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and Mr. Ravishankar Dakoju, Tea estate owner, Ooty., also the highest donor for Rotary International India. Dr. P. Mahabaleswarappa, Principal, BIT., Dr. Aziz Mustafa, Director, BIT Polytechnic., Dr. Mustafa Basthikodi, HOD, Department of Computer Science & Engineering., Dr. Abdullah Gubbi, HOD, Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering., Dr. M. Basawaraj, HOD, Department of Mechanical Engineering and Prof. Purushothama C T, HOD, Department of Civil Engineering. The event started with the quote from Late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.

The Program began with an Invocation of Almighty followed by welcome speech and guest’s introduction by Dr. P. Mahabaleswarappa. The releasing of Memoire books for the year 2019 was done by Chief Guest Dr. P. Subramamnya Yedapathya. He highlighted the significance of graduation and the collaboration of Mangalore University with BIT in the various activities by declaring the graduation ceremony open. In his talk, he said, the graduates should take part in peace and prosperity of the country. Prof. Purushothama C T called out the students name of Civil Engineering and they were felicitated by Dr. P Subrahmanya with the memoir and memento. Dr. Mustafa Basthikodi read out the students name of Computer Science Engineering and were felicitated by Dr. B N Raghunandan. Dr. Abdullah Gubbi read out the students name of Electronics & Communication Engineering and were felicitated by Mr. Ravishankar. Dr. M Basawaraj called out the students name of Mechanical Engineering and our Honorable Chairman felicitated them with the memoir and memento.
The guest of honor Dr. B N Raghunandan spoke on this occasion and said, graduates has spent nearly 22 years of his/her life and those years are innocent part of life, and from now on they should be careful in the work life. He also quoted; the memorable moments spent in college will be remembered at the later part of life. Later, the dignitaries were felicitated by the Honorable Chairman.
Mr. Syed Mohammed Beary gave the presidential address. In his speech, he said the graduate should build up the leadership qualities and “Instead of taking from others, cultivate the hobby of giving to the needy from what you have”. Also he said that “Truth will definitely protect us and we should always be truthful to everyone”.
Mr. Ravishankar Dakoju, the donor of the endowment addressed the gathering by saying “I am delighted to make a meaningful contribution of my life earning towards the six focus areas of Rotary International, including community development, education, health and sanitation. His vision for a peaceful India with complete involvement of work in Orphans, Senior citizens, Tree plantation, Animal welfare, Lake Rejuvenation and support to physically challenged.
All the graduates stood with their graduation gown with tassel towards their right. It was a proud moment for BITians as it has completed a decade of Success and a great day with Sun & Rain, A broad smile on everyone’s face with tears in the eye. Dr. Aziz Mustafa led the fellow graduates in reciting the graduate pledge then the tassels were changed to the left side. Finally, the best outgoing students of all the departments were felicitated. The Vote of thanks was delivered by the HOD of CSE Dr. Mustafa B. End of Graduation day was declared by the President of the event followed by the National Anthem and Photo Session.
