The scheduled Infosys Mangalore Development Centre visit on 10.11.16, Thursday from 2:00PM – 4:00PM was indeed an enriching experience for students of BIT. Student were welcomed and guided initially by Ms. Swathi from Education & Training Assessment Department, Infosys.
Mrs. Veena Amruth, Lead Executive – Training and Administration welcomed students followed by a brief power point presentation about the path traversed by Infosys. The requested topics such as Software Development Process, Training and Development in Software Industry, Scope for Software Professionals, Industry Requirement from Students and Future in IT were covered by Mr. Arun, Project Manager, Infosys.
Mr. Arun stressed upon the importance of communication skill, Thinking out of the box, willingness to learn and adopt new technologies, Team working by sharing ideas. Further the insight was given about Cloud Computing, Big Data, Analytics, Artificial Iintelligence and Hadoop technologies. It was an Interactive session and students were praised for their attentiveness during the session. Students thanked Mr.Arun for sharing his knowledge and for being friendly.
Mr. Anil Kumar guided the students to sports complex and to the Education and Training Assessment division. The visit was a memorable and encouraging experience for the students.
